Since it's slipping over last two weeks- why don't they list for 50% on the board instead of 40%?
Just curious...

Because they make more money on seats they sell at 40% off. Lots of shows only go 40% off at TKTS - I've stood around people in line who've said they're picking from the 40% off shows because they "must be better than shows that are selling tickets for half price."

While I don't personally buy that logic, many a tourist may.

When I see the title of this thread it looks like Nice Work tits.

That's all.

Lowering the price does not guarantee more sales. If people don't want to see it, they don't want to see it -- regardless of the price.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Why isn't this show on TDF? It's never been, as far as I can remember.

Producers choice. They must feel that selling tickets at rock bottom prices is not worth the possible word of mouth it may bring.

They were overachieving early on with numbers of $1M per week. There's no way they were going to keep those numbers up. Early interviews with creative team indicated they were going for "low hanging fruit", discounted tix sales, groups, older crowds and that's is basically their base. The weekly nut on this can't be all that much, there's no special effects or anything other than good old fashioned singing and dancing.
