SO HAPPY and excited that Gary and Roger will be in this...

... Other than that... as much as I love this show and as much as it is a part of me... not feeling the rest AT ALL

While I'd certainly love the chance to see Gary Beach and Roger Bart, I've never understood these musicals at the Bowl. I have such a love/hate relationship with that venue. It's a gorgeous, iconic setting. It's never a complete LA summer without at least one visit to the Bowl and, yet, unless you're really in orchestra pit/pool section or the first section of boxes, you might as well be watching it on tv. That ampitheatre is carved so deeply into the canyon it's like another country up there.

I just bought my ticket for the Saturday night performance. I'm excited about this cast, including Cook. I didn't realize Rebecca Romijn could sing, or can't she? I guess we'll see. I'm mostly excited for Ferguson, Beech and Bart. I wish Nathan Lane was also attached.

As much as I love Nathan in the role, I am glad he isn't there are already too many recycled performances attached.

To the people at the Hollywood Bowl:

Hire me. Please. I promise you I won't let these people down like your regular casting guy does at annual intervals.

My casting choices for certain shows... if you like it, you like it. If you don't like it, you won't like it, but you won't be able to take it lightly!
