There is actually a WELSH edition of Monopoly! And Christopher J. Orton and I have written a short black comedy play where the two main characters play it throughout the action. It's called THE ROAD TO PORT OF BARRY (one of the squares on the Welsh edition).
The play was performed at a festival of new writing at the Watermill Theatre in March 2011 and will be performed at 3 venues in Wales on September 11,12, 13 this year (Chapter Arts, Cardiff; Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea; Riverside theatre, Newport). Sorry - had to get the plug in lol

A friend of mine spent a good number of years developing a board game based on producing a West End show. He had support from Cameron and others but it proved a mine field with getting licensee to use names of performers, shows etc.
Many a night was spent with us doing in depth research but it was abandoned a few years ago now.
