I've heard talk that Melbourne's Production Company are mounting a presentation of GYPSY with Caroline O Connor in Sydney at the Capital for a 10 week run. Anyone else heard about this?

The only production of GYPSY I've seen was at the Seymour Centre in 1994, starring Tina Scott. Ouch!

I've never seen a production. But I'm trying to see her in that production at THE CURVE. I hope it happens though.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

God I hope so

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Apparently Caroline O'Connor is going to be on Broadway in THE PRINCE OF BROADWAY, in November?

Is this not happening anymore?'

Yeah, thinking this has been put on the back burner. Story goes Gypsy heading to west end till mid August and Caroline than off to Broadway

I really doubt that will go to Broadway. If any of the revivals of GYPSY in the last 10 years either with Peters or Lupone can't succeed, I'm sure Americans aren't going to flock to see, who, Caroline O'Connor?

Maybe he meant that Caroline is going to Broadway in PRINCE OF BROADWAY after the west end run of GYPSY. There is no way GYPSY will be revived on Broadway now unless Meryl Streep is in the role.
