Considering the incredible star power this young man has, there have to be other Broadway roles for him. I'm thinking HALF A SIXPENCE.

Your suggestions?

GLEE - LIVE ON BROADWAY

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I really love most of you people!

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Ah yes, BONNIE AND CLYDE is certainly one of those shows that will have a prolonged afterlife. Perhaps the Criss lad will actually be able to play Clyde in a sterling production of the show somewhere in Billings, Montana.

Perhaps he can be the next understudy Elphaba in the 15th touring cast of Wicked. Lord knows there aren't enough fanatics already.

I'd like to see his future roles limited to composer/lyricist. He can write a mean indie showtune with witty (if jejeune) lyrics. I don't like watching or listening to him AT ALL, but it wouldn't be such a bad thing if he kept writing music for the theatre. It'd be better than another Wildhorn clusterf***.

I for one want to see Starkid get to Broadway! Granted Darren isn't actually in Starship, which would make the most sense for them to work on making Broadway-ready since it's original, but they could always change things up and have Darren play a role in it when he gets more free time :) (I think he was originally- before all the Glee stuff happened- supposed to be Roach, who's adorable and I do love Brant Cox but it would be cute to see Darren do it too)

But yeah, I just think Darren's own music is really beautiful and the whole Starkid team is so talented. So I'd rather they get to Broadway than he be in other revivals or something like that.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Somebody else brought up the possibility of him as Will in American Idiot. That would actually be pretty good casting, now that I think about it.

He was offered a swing position with American Idiot, but turned it down to take the role on Glee - or so rumor states.

No one has suggested that he play Alan Strang in EQUUS. It would be a fine opportunity for Darren to show off his "Glee-wee"
