When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

I find it incredibly interesting that shows like this in fact hire actors to portray potential buyers. I had no idea! Pretty cool job, hope she got a nice paycheck!

That's my assumption too...hence the wink. It was just a surprise to recognize her on the show (and they used her real name.)

If you watch this show regularly, it becomes very apparent that this show is more-or-less fake -- almost none of the people presented as potential "buyers" actually end up buying anything. And most all of the real estate transactions that actually do happen on the show mysteriously occur off camera.

I think it's a safe assumption that most of the "buyers" are either hired actors, or just people who really want to be on TV, but not necessarily to buy real estate.
