Came across this while on amazon. I guess it's gospel versions of bway hits:

Hallelujah Broadway is based on the simple premise that powerful songs can bring an audience to their feet, gladden their hearts and give them something to really feel good about. How oft en have people come out of a Broadway Musical and felt they had just had a religious experience? In Hallelujah Broadway, we harnessed the emotional power of the songs that have so inspired millions of theatre goers and gathered them all together in one feast of entertainment. Th is show is high on emotion with a true spiritual connection at its heart. We selected the most uplift ing and powerful songs from the great Broadway musicals and were performed in Prague at the Church of St. Simon & St. Judah, accompanied by the Prague Filmharmonic Orchestra and Choir. Th is is a feast of inspired vocal performances set in the baroque magnifi cence of the Church of St Simon and St Jude, home to the Prague Symphony. Crucially, Hallelujah Broadway features star central performances from three featured soloists - the amazing tenor Rodrick Dixon, the powerful soprano from the Chicago Symphony Alfreda Burke, and the marvellous Irish Tenor Anthony Kearns. Th e show also features as a special guest one of Broadway's leading ladies, Linda Eder. Th e producers conceived Hallelujah Broadway as a hugely enjoyable experience for the global audience, particularly for the countless millions of musical theatre devotees around the world.

The DVD was on PBS. The singers all sound fantastic from the songs I listened to, but I didn't watch all of it.

Naturally I watched for Linda Eder, who on the broadcast also performed "Gold" from Camille Claudel and "Someone Like You" from Jekyll & HYDE, both from Frank Wildhorn. She didn't perform "What I Did for Love," however. She sings "Electricity" as well on the CD!

It's not really a show, if that's what you're thinking. It's more like a performer walks on, says a sentence or two about the song they're going to sing/what it means to them, sing it, and then walk off. "Hallelujah Broadway" is an original song, but I forgot to listen to it...whoops! They are fully orchestrated songs, and not very gospel-y, unless the given performer performs them that way. They all just sounded very lush to me, if anything different.

Eder doesn't perform with the other three, but they all have some trios together.
