Does anyone know what nights Bette Midler DOES NOT perform?  I understood her understudy does Tuesday nights, but I wondered about Wed and Sat matinees b/c there are a lot of tickets available for those dates.  Thanks  JayElle

I got in line at 4am on Friday night for Saturday SRO and was 6th in line. The first person got there at 3. Bear in mind that Saturday is a 2 show day, so more of us got tickets.

I slept through my alarm on Saturday, so I didn't make it to the theatre till legit 10 AM, when the box office opened. I waited in line cause, why not. When I got to the box office I asked if there were any Standing Room tickets left and they said no, but they had the obstructed view last row balcony for $59.00, so I took it. Though you have a seat, you have to stand up the entire show since the entire row in front of you blocks the stage. BUT, honestly it was still an amazing experience, and I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I didn't have to wake up at 1 am and wait 9 hours! Lol

I'm planning to rush the show sometime soon, you are making this sounds like a better deal. How is your view while standing up? Is there anything still obstructed?

Thanks!

The view while standing up was great! A lot of us also like "sat" on the top edge of the seat when we got tired of standing, like we didn't sit all the way, we kept it folded up so that it was sort of a booster, if that makes sense.

The only time where the view might be a little obstructed are when the actors are on that little walkway in between the orchestra and the first row of orchestra, you have to lean a little bit to see. Also, when Bette makes her entrance during "Hello, Dolly!" you have to squat a little, but she walks down the stairs right after the entrance so you don't really miss anything, but other than that it was great.

Also, I was lucky enough to have the aisle seat near the middle, so there was no pole obstructing my view!

Any more updates/experiences re: SRO arrival times or other affordable ways to get tickets (such as the $59 partials described above)? I'm thinking of trying this Saturday. Thank you!

I stopped by around noonish last Thursday and was able to get a last row balcony seat.

The last row may not be a problem if you are tall enough. I'm short so I have to stand 90% of the time to get a clear view, and I'm perfectly happy to do that to see this amazing production with an affordable price and without having to wait in line.

Hi, sorry for my ignorance, but why are back row balcony tickets available? Are they kept back on purpose to be sold last minute or are they just regular unsold seats? And why were they available at noonish when I keep hearing all of these horror stories about people queuing at 3am? I'm probably being dumb and missing something here but I'm confused!

Hi everyone!  I am coming from Washington DC on Wed May 10.  Crossing fingers to get cancellation line tickets for Orchestra seats either matinee or evening.  My sister is visiting me from LA and has never been to a Broadway show.  Excited to show her a great time on Broadway. :)  I would appreciate advice on what time to line up for Cancellation Line tickets.  Does anyone know what type of seats have been available?  I usually arrive for cancellation line tickets 2-3 hours before a show, but I'm not sure if I need to get in line before dawn with the fans rushing for SRO tickets.  Thanks for your help!

Attempting to get SRO tickets in the next 2 weeks before I leave New York - anyone have recent SRO line reports? Not wanting to risk it with the rear balcony.

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the tip on the 59$ partiel view seats! I went last wednesday around 10am in front of the box office, after waiting in line, I was able to get those two partiel view seats! And I think it was a great deal! I had to stand up or to seat on the edge of the seat (when it's up) almost the whole show, but it was really a great experience! It was a great deal since we didn't have to get there in the middle of the night! (I would post pics of the view from the seats, but I don't know how to post picture lol)

So there have been a few of you that said you got the $59 partial view tickets at or after box office open. So if I show up tomorrow (saturday) at like 6ish, would I have a good chance of getting one or are they not guaranteed? Don't care about which show I get into.

Hello guys! Is it possible to buy 2 tickets for SRO? I'm going to queue for SRO for "Hello Dolly" tomorrow (Wednesday) and I was wondering if there are anyone queueing up for "Dear Evan Hansen" and would like to "swop tickets". In other words, I'll help you purchase SRO for "Hello Dolly" and you'll help me get "Dear Evan Hansen". Just drop me a PM :)

Anyone tried for standing room recently? Thinking of going sometime this week.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I did SRO last Thursday 5/18. First person in line showed up at 3am. Next group of 3 arrived around 4am. I (and my two friends) got there at 5:20am and was 5th in line. Everyone before me was getting singles. Next person showed up at 6:00am. Next person showed up at 6:30am. Around 9am there was maybe 12-15 people in line. By 9:45am, the line had about 30 people in it.

I didn't stick around to see who got what tickets but they were selling Standing Room and last row balcony. SRO was a great view and totally worth the wait time for the price. Only thing I would advise is try to get a standing spot towards the middle. The side sections slope downwards and the wall that you look over is about 5' or so. I was second to last closest to the lobby. I'm 5'11" and with the lower slope of the floor towards the lobby my chin barely cleared the wall/ledge. But the woman next to me was very short and had to stand in the aisle to see.

Hey everyone! I am going into NYC tomorrow. I plan on rushing in the morning of the 27th (saturday). I have been debating if I should rush Hello Dolly or DEH. If anyone wants to team up and rush with me, one to Hello Dolly and one to DEH, just send me a PM! Thanks!!!

We arrived yesterday (Friday) approx 3:45 am and were first on line. Most people arrived around 6 am and 18 Standing Room tickets were available at $47 each. It was an amazing experience!

I arrived at 4:30am on Saturday morning with a friend. We were each getting 2 tickets and could go to either show. We were 11/12 in the line and by the time we got to the box office, only 2 seperate SRO tickets were left for the evening, so we got 4 together for the matinee. I feel like 4am is your best bet to guarantee a spot.

I rushed the show this morning, so I figure I'll add my thoughts.

I got to the theater at about 10:55 for the 12 noon box office opening.

About 25 people in front of me in line, first pair got there at 1 am, the next group at 4, and then more as the morning progressed.

They start with the $47 standing room tickets behind the last row of the orchestra.

Then, once those are gone, they go to the balcony partial views, Row K for $59, which is where I was. This row doesn't actually exist, they built an extra row in the back for this production. However, it is only about 4 inches higher than row J, so if you sit to watch the show, there is a head directly in front of you blocking the stage, which you would need to look around to see the show. However, since these are the last row, with nothing behind you, you can do anything, so most people go back and forth between sitting for the book scenes, and either standing or sitting on the folded-up seat for the musical number. These are full view, I saw everything, including Ms. Midler's entrance at the top of the stairs. I'd rally view these as standing room seats with something to lean back on, instead of a bar to lean on in front of you. I'm going to say these are actually a better value than the orchestra standing room seats, as the mezzanine overhand at the Schubert is rather low to the seating, cutting off the better part of the top half of the stage to anyone in these spots, including the stair-case entrance.

It goes without staying that Bette is fantastic. I'm personally not the biggest fan of the piece, but this is an exceptional production of an American Classic.
