Security guard showed up just after midnight! He said "I only have 25 wristbands so if you're after 25, you might as well just go home." He wrote down each person's name and told us to come back at 10 am tomorrow when the box office opens. We will have to show our IDs at that time as well.

What time do they start handing out bracelets?  Whenever someone shows up in the line?

Was planning to get on line 11AM Tuesday for the Wendsday performances

We were wristband 17/18 and got the last two SRO/partial view seats for both shows today. Most people in front of us were only buying one ticket each so probably about 20 total today for both shows.

Just to make sure I understand...people are showing up the night before, getting a wristband, and leaving?

If they do the wristband route, I hope there is a sign on the door stating the new rules. If there wasn't a sign, then I feel bad for the fans who lined up at 5am thinking they were first in line only to wait 5 hours and realize at 10am there were wristbands given out the evening before.

Agree 100% and that is where I see some flights breaking out.  If you are going to have a security guard or someone from the Music Box do this, they need to have someone 24-7 watching out

When people with wristbands come back to the theatre when it opens, are you supposed to line up exactly how you were before? like are you numbered? is there someone who coordinates this? or do they do roll call? just wondering if you have to come early to wait in line again even if you have the wristband

I may have missed the answer but the question has been asked what time are they giving the wristbands out? Is it after the show lets out or anotber time? Does it seem to vary? Can anyone answer this?

This just happened for the first time the other day, or maybe it's been two days, so no one has concrete answers.  Last night it was around 12:15am.  It seems they're keeping a list, so when people show back up at 10am they know what order to go in regardless of when people return.

Hopefully the show will make an announcement soon stating an official policy so that people will know what to expect.

Hey all, waited out last night for SRO and didn't get tickets. Got back today around 2pm and they actually told me they were moving the SRO tickets into the Digital Lottery system. Several employees in the booth confirmed this for me and told me I should head home. Anyone else have the same experience?

A friend of mine (who's a big ''Evan Hansen'' fan) stopped by the box office earlier today, and was told the same thing: that SRO tickets will go into the Digital Lottery. I imagine this is how it'll eventually go with all shows, but what a shame. There was something to be said about waiting in line and making friends, etc. You could get the tickets if you put in enough time and got there early enough. Digital lotteries are so much harder to win because so many people enter.

2 things: 1) so more lottery winners, yay! 2) does this mean that some of the lottery "seats" may be actually standing room?

We did This Line Tuesday night, this was either first or second night for wrist bands. We were at Come From away line early Tuesday morning and talked to the security gaurd for DEH he told us that they will be handing out bands that night at around midnight. A security guard came shortly after midnight, over from hello dolly. He had us show ID and write our name on a list, and told us to return at nine in the morning. He said he was only going to hand out twenty five bands.

Those bands got us first in line ahead of anyone who slept on street or arrived very early for the tickets the next morning. The box office opened at ten am. He had us line up and called us in one or two at a time. We got through about number twelve of the bands. All were standing room and 1 $99 partial view went out. This was for both matinee and evening, they did let you choose. I think they did the partial view because the last person wanted two tickets for evening and they were out of evening SRO. After that anyone with a band could keep their place inline but had to remain there. They could not come back and get there place for cancellation tickets. I know one girl that was next to go in stayed and got third row center for two hundred dollars about an hour before show time.

My group got in line Tuesday night  when we got out of Come from Away a little before ten pm, we ended up seven and eight, First in line had arrived about seven pm.

The ticket agents  and security were all very pleasant and helpful. I will say the Come from Away ticket booth was not near as nice when I asked questions about cancellation tickets! But show was Fantastic!

We were also told the bands were a temp solution until they have a more permanent solution. I think the goal is to get people off the street when there is no security around.

I hope this helps.

LOOKS LIKE I WAS A LITTLE LATE ON THIS POST! GOOD LUCK IN THE LOTTERY!

Waah, such a letdown that the lining up for SRO is over. I feel bad for everyone who didn't get a chance to see the show and was hoping for a chance through SRO this summer. I'm glad I got to see Ben Platt's performance once since I won't get to go again Dear Evan Hansen Standing room

My thoughts exactly! I was able to see the show a couple weeks ago (bought tickets back in Dec.) so I have no reason to be sad, but I was totally excited about being able to have a fun experience hanging out in line and being able to see it again! Okay but here's my real question. Do you guys think they are going to let people know if they have won SRO specifically? I'm just imagining people who physically might not be able to do SRO and not knowing until they go to pick them up from the box office. What happens then? So then SRO might be more mixed into the cancellation line? Not sure. Just some food for thought I guess...

I would be shocked if they didn't specify. It may be something like 'you didn't win the lottery but we have SRO tickets available if you want those'.

Does this mean they will have Saturday evening lottery drawings now?

Wow. Did we ever have perfect timing if they are no longer doing line ups and wristbands!!! (Came out of Come from Away on Tues night and got wristband for Wed shows) Feel so sad for people who won't get the amazing experience that we had. Feeling lucky.

Well, the new policy change sets to end those overnight lines for SRO. I hope the Music Box puts up a notice to alert folks, so newbies who haven't heard the news, won't waste their evenings/mornings.

The other thing it ends were those numerous requests about: ''I wanna catch this performance of 'Dear Evan Hansen.' Who can pick up an extra standing room ticket for me? I'll pay you for yours ...''

How has this effected the cancellation line?

I'm glad this happened.  The police and the theater didn't want to deal with people camping out.  Similar to Hamilton.  But yeah, much harder to get tickets via lottery now.

I will say, I loved seeing the generosity of people on this board with the whole "I wait in line, you pay for my ticket" vice versa thing. It was refreshing and incredibly nice to see.
