People start getting in line anywhere between 4-5am but if you get there before 7:30 I would think you'd have no problem getting SRO. The SRO for the evening show isn't sold until the matinee starts.

Just to add an update we arrived around 5:30 am on Saturday, 7/1. We were the 3rd pair in line (first to buy evening) and got partial view orchestra no problem. They were excellent seats (row G on the side) I missed maybe a line or two but for the price felt like the seats were amazing. By a little after 8 am the line was back under the Bandstand marquee but I have no idea how long it ended up getting.

Who was lucky enough to do rush yesterday? It was Canada day and the writers & producers gave out coffee and donuts

I was in the rush line on the 1st but that video was not from that morning. We unfortunately didn't get anything. I wasn't sure if they did that earlier in the week or at SRO that afternoon.

Rush report from this morning 7/3: 1st person in line arrived at 4:30 am. I was second at around 5. Numbers 3-6 all got there before 5:30a, with 2 singles but the rest buying pairs, so the 10 actual rush seats were all spoken for pretty quickly. Line grew steadily until it went past Bandstand. I'm not sure how many standing room spots were given out but there were definitely more people on line than the capacity. I got orchestra far side tickets. Excited to see it tonight!

On one show days are SRO tickets handed out at the same time as Rush?

I am thinking about rushing the show next Wednesday, July 12th. Should I plan on arriving as early as 4 or 5? I would do either the matinee or evening performance. Also, for the partial view, do you miss anything significant? Are all of the rush tickets either partial view or standing room? For standing room, does anything get cut off, since I know the mezzanine is above? Thanks!

If you don't care for matinee or evening, then 5am should be plenty early. Nothing is cut off if you get SRO. It's a great view.

I'm planning to rush for the evening performance on Wed 7/19 but I will only be needing a single ticket. Interested in the possibility of purchasing a second if someone does not want to get in line super early with some form of compensation...!

Planning on rushing tomorrow (Sat, 8 July). Does anyone else plan on rushing for 1 ticket, that could split the waiting time with me?

On Saturdays since there's two shows, 6am should be fine if you don't care which show you see. I think 7am on Sunday is fine since the box office doesn't open until noon.

Good luck to all. There's only 10 rush tickets given out per show. SRO can be up to 25 spots. The last time I did SRO, they only had 20.

Hi all,
I'm looking for rush tickets and am available to line-up any morning next week. I'm completely new to this and would really appreciate any advice.

What day is typically best/least demand for limited view seated rush tickets? What time would you advise to arrive at the box office line to have the best chance of getting two tickets? Any other advice for a complete newbie?

Thanks in advance!

1) The CFA rush line is the best. People are always so nice and friendly so I'm sure it will be a great first experience!

2) I would imagine Tuesday-Thursday is the easiest because they're week days. You double your chances on Wednesday because it's a 2 show day so that might be your best bet.

3) If you want to give yourself the best chance of getting a seat as opposed to standing room, I would say 5 am will put you at the front of the line. 7:30 maybe 8 should probably be fine for SRO.

4) The rush seats are partial view so you miss maybe 2-3 tiny things but you can see just about everything. SRO is a perfect view at the back of the orchestra but obviously, you have to stand.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the info. Really helpful. One more question...

On Wednesdays, do they give out both shows standing rush tickets in the morning, or do they release the evening performance ones later in the day?

Alfie,

they give both shows standing and rush out in the morning! Good luck!

This actually is not true. They give out rush for both shows in the morning and SRO for the matinee. SRO for the evening show is given out at 3pm on two show days.

At 7:30 am in Wednesday (two show day) there were 14 people in line. At 8:20 there were 24 people in line.

Was anyone there last Saturday 7/15? I'm planning to rush this Saturday and was wondering if 7:30 would be early enough or if I should go earlier.

On that note, I'll be with a friend - if anyone would like us to get tickets for you in exchange for paying for ours, we'd be happy to! Just message me to figure out the details.
