"Grease Live" had a finale medley of "We Go Together", and "Born To Hand Jive", "Hairspray Live" ended with the groovy "Got So Far To Go", "Jesus Christ Superstar: Live In Concert" ended with a rockin' medley, but sadly, "Annie Live" kept its finale simple and just had a sad, tear-jerking, depressing, and melancholy rendition of "Tomorrow", that was not danceable at all! I don't know why the producers decided on this, but the finale made me cry! I still haven't gotten over it today? Does anyone know the reason they may have done this?
"Annie" on Broadway has never had a danceable finale. At the end of the show, the entire cast sings "A New Deal for Christmas. That is the actual finale.
It’s such a weak and underwhelming finale that every production since the 1990s has closed with an all-cast audience singalong of Tomorrow. It’s in the licensed version.
