She's obviously either mentally ill or high. They should have just ignored her and called security. The constant arguing with her only escalated things. You shouldn't engage with a person like that. It always backfires.

Exactly this. There was a customer once where I work who was wrong about an item he wanted to purchase. A manager talked to him twice and he was so nasty. And the way he was behaving, he seemed like he wanted to get other employees involved in his displeasure. When he seemed like he was speaking to me, I ignored him because I was aware he was just going to rant and yell at me. And apparently he acted that way everywhere he went.
