Sex columnist Dan Savage lashed out at the Family Research Council saying: 'Tony Perkins Sits On A Pile Of Dead Gay Kids Every Day'.
Savage, who founded the It Gets Better Project for LGBT, spoke last week at Winona State University about 'queer kids' killing themselves and said that 'every dead kid is a victory for the Family Research Council.'
He went on to explain why he thinks the Family Research Council is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, saying:
'Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council - First of all, they tell, Tony Perkins tells parents whose kids come out to reject them. Tony Perkins tells the parents of queer kids to do what Tony Perkins damn well knows drives those kids to suicide - doubles their already quadruple rate of suicide. Why would someone who calls themselves a Christian do that? Because every dead gay kid is a victory for the Family Research Council. They argue that the gay lifestyle is sick and sinful and dangerous and they point to the suicide rate, and then they turn around and do everything in their power to make sure that suicide rate does not come down and to drive it up. Tony Perkins sits on a pile of dead gay kids every day when he goes to work - and he calls himself a Christian. I don't understand how real Christians let that little f*cker get away with that.'

I thought of Anthony Perkins too and was trying to wonder where this came from--obviously Perkins kep his AIDS and complex sexuality largely a secret, but it seemed a bit late to call him out on it now...
matthew 10:21 - "and the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death."
matthew 10:37 - "he that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me"
matthew 19:29 - "and every one that hath forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life."
that's just the tip of the iceberg. try actually reading some of this ****. there is a mountain of life-destroying nonsense. that's what you get for trying to find gay rights in FAIRY TALES from bronze age palestine. if anyone promised me everlasting life if i gave up my children, i would tell them to go f*** themselves, and you should too.

sorry man. that's what it says, in cold print. people like to pretend the new testament is all hippy-jesus love. blood-soaked as the old testament is, it never mentions punishment of the dead. after you've been slaughtered, your children put to the bronze sword, and the earth closes over you, it's over. only when jesus appears does the horrible idea of eternal punishment for you and your loved ones for the slightest trangression appear (matthew 25:41 - "depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire"). just take a second, and think about how many childhoods have been ruined, how many nightmares have ensued from this awful, awful lie, for which there is not one shred of evidence.
perhaps you'd feel better if we talk old testament. IIRC, yahweh tells moses to ask the pharoah to let his people go. the pharoah consents... but then yahweh changes the pharoah's mind, so that he can inflict a curse on the egyptians. this goes on for a bit (pharoah decides to let the jews go, then yahweh/god changes the pharoahs mind so that a curse can be inflicted), and includes the slaughtering of all the male first-born egyptian children by the judeo-christian god.
yup, i can see how we can derive LGBT rights from this sinister tripe.
