WHAT THE WHAT?
I thought Karen Olivo retired. Is this some kind of Amanda Bynes retirement?
Welcome back, Ms. Olivo!

I guess Olivo is coming out of retirement. Good for her!!!!
Taking a year off and spinning pottery in Madison isn't really a retirement. They are a great team, and I can't wait to see this!
I guess also that revival of "Pump Boys" isn't going to happen, unless the response for their Encores Off-Center presentation is off the charts...
I. just. wet. my. pants.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! THIS IS BEYOND EXCITING!!!
Because it bears repeating, welcome back, Karen Olivo! Simply one of my favorite Broadway performers. I'm sure it'll be great for her to be back with Lin-Manuel Miranda, who has been her cheerleader for a few years now. How exciting!
I wonder who the third actor in this show will be.
Do these productions play in the regular city center theater or somewhere smaller?
They were in the regular theater last year.
Can't wait

Both Karen Olivo and Mary Louise Parker sure have changed their minds about retirement from acting.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. TICK TICK

CANNOT WAIT!
Excited for Tick Tick to come back, but I hope Lin-Manuel Miranda is playing Michael and not Jonathan...
EDIT: Just saw that they announced he is playing Jonathan. I love Lin, but vocally he doesn't seem like a Jonathan to me..
Do we have another young, interesting Hispanic male actor to complete this cast? I know that "all-X casts" are controversial, but we have two of the most interesting actors, and two of the only Hispanic popular stage actors, of their generation. It would be nice, and be historic, to see a third Latino actor fill this cast, since that group is somewhat underrepresented onstage these days.

I would pay to see Esparza in the third slot.
He's already done it though- would it be unprecedented for a star to reprise their role in the Encores mini-revival?
I really love Lin-Manuel Miranda, but why he keeps getting cast in roles that require singing is a mystery to me.
Wilson Cruz has played Michael before. I'd love to see him on stage!!
I have a question...not being sarcastic. Is he going to rap or sing out in this role?

I hardly think he's as bad a singer as people on here seem to be making him out to be.

I like Miranda but his singing made MERRILY pretty painful for me.
"I would pay to see Esparza in the third slot."
I know you're only kidding with that, lol.
Raul WAS the show at the Jane. "Raul is more like Jonathan than anyone I ever met", said Al Larson. Jerry Dixon played Michael and there was nice chemistry between them. that was also true for Raul and the first Susan, Amy Spanger. There were other Susans - Molly Ringwald, Natasha Diaz, but I liked Amy best. When Raul took on another project, Joey MacIntire took over as Jonathan. he did VERY well, too.
No, Raul isn't going to take the third role.
