What pleased to hear this magnificent text of Erasmus. A revolutionary text, and thus, modern and topical though written in Latin in 1509! Jean-Marc Chotteau, talented actor and theater director "The Comma" Tourcoing lives this text for many years. With more than 300 performances, he masters every finesse, every stroke. It is indeed Madness speaking, "stultitia loquitur" is it that challenges the viewer-reader as stated dedication to Thomas More (moria in Greek means madness!). Erasmus, in a troubled and uncertain times, analyzes with great irony all human imperfections. Who better than the madness personified and can, without fear of censorship and thus freely address the powerful religious, the Pope himself. To give substance to the Madness, Jean-Marc Chotteau had the brilliant idea to embody a "mad", a transvestite who over tale flourishes, grows in confidence and scale to ridicule pedants, marriage, the war. As in the text, like Madness, it takes on its best clothes, clothes for lights a fire of verbal artifice that welcomes all spectators. An ironic text in a Europe devastated by violations of the right of expression, citizen awakens consciences.
