This May, Teatro101 proudly presents Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, the Off-Broadway hit musical based on the poem by Joseph Moncure March. The PARTY begins May 12th and shuts down May 28.

With book, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, The Wild Party captures the essence of a decadent and deadly all-night party in 1920s NYC. A potent cocktail of bewildered innocence & worldly cynicism at the fiery peak of the Jazz Age, this high-energy musical centers on two desperate, damaged lives spiraling downward, filled to the brim with sex, drugs, jealousy, betrayal, murder.

A stylistic cross between Chicago and Cabaret, The Wild Party garnered the 2000 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical and the Outer Critics' Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical.
In true Teatro101 style and fashion, you'll experience the grandeur of a large-scale musical adapted to a small and intimate space. The Wild Party is directed by David Gregory and musically directed by Cedric D. Lyles. Choreography is by Katie Harrington and Costumes by Wil Crowther. Its cast features Jamie Eacker as Queenie, Kevin McAllister as Burrs, Michael Robinson as Black, and Coby Kay Callahan as Kate, and a cast of partiers that include Jason Beall, Brittany Brainer, Vanessa Buenger, Erin Confair, Will Emory, CrystAl Freeman, Joseph Frollo, Sarah Gorman, Jimmy Heyworth, Josh Kemper, Lisa Pastella, and Angela Sullivan.

The Wild Party runs May 12 through May 28, 2011 on Thursday (opening night), Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 7 pm. (Possible Sunday Matinees may be added.) Tickets are $20 general. Performances are held at The Mobtown Theatre in Hampden. For tickets, directions, more information, visit teatro101.com. Musical contains situations and language not suitable for children.
