Old Globe Presents ROBINS AND THE 7 HOODS, LAST ROMANCE, et. al. from July to October

The Old Globe announces their schedule for July through October. It includes the conclusion of the 2010 Shakespeare Festival, the world premiere of ROBIN AND THE 7 HOODS, the west coast premiere of THE LAST ROMANCE and WELCOME TO ARROYO'S, and Neil Simon's plays, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. There also will be several educational programs for children.

The Red Bull Theater announces its 2010-2011 Revelation Readings. Some actors and actresses involved in the readings include Maria Dizzia, Jessica Hecht, Jan Maxwell, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mary Testa, and Michael Urie. All readings are on Mondays at 7:30pm, except as noted, and take place at Theater at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street, between 9th & 10th Avenues. (Cast and details Subject to Change.)

Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Offers Closed-Captioning for 2010/2011 Season

The Theatre Development Fund (TDF) will continue its partnership with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center to deliver world-class performing arts experiences to people who are deaf or impacted by hearing loss. During the upcoming 2010/11 Season, the Center will continue to provide open captioning services in partnership with TDF's National Open Captioning Initiative.

Mercury Baroque Tour Europe Staring 9/18

Mercury Baroque will become the first Houston-based orchestra to tour Europe in nearly 10 years when it reprises its popular production of Lully's opera Armide in Paris in September, 2010. The Paris production of Armide will feature the same cast and musicians as Mercury's previous production in Houston in May of 2009 and also marks Mercury Baroque's first European performances since the ensemble's inception 10 years ago. This special production of Armide is a unique collaboration between Mercury Baroque's Artistic Director Antoine Plante and renowned Stage Director Pascal Rambert, whose Theatre de Gennevilliers will host the performances. Armide stars Isabelle Cals in the title role, Zachary Wilder as Renaud, and Sumner Thompson as Hidraot/Haine. Performances begin in Paris on September 18th, 2010.

P.J.S. Exhibitions Presents "Visions of Variety,' 9/16 - 10/10

P.J.S. Exhibitions, an emerging and eclectic W. Village grassroots gallery (238 W. 14th between 7th & 8th Ave.) presents 'Visions of Variety,' a collection of donated works benefiting the not-for-profit organization, Art for Healing NYC. The exhibit, opening Thursday, September 16th and running through October 10th, 2010 includes mixed-media pieces of various sizes and subjects contributed by an array of artists, companies and estates. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11AM to 7PM.
