The Old Globe announces their schedule for July through October. It includes the conclusion of the 2010 Shakespeare Festival, the world premiere of ROBIN AND THE 7 HOODS, the west coast premiere of THE LAST ROMANCE and WELCOME TO ARROYO'S, and Neil Simon's plays, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. The New York Russian Jewish Youth Council (NYRJYC) kicks off the fall season on Thursday, September 2nd at 7PM with Eclectic Beat Box. The event will be at Soiree (199 Bowery St.) and features live musical performances, hip Israeli landscapes and some of the best bands the city has to offer. Tickets are $10; all proceeds from the event will go to benefit Sunrise Lake Camp, a residential summer camp in Cold Spring, New York that provides programming to children afflicted with cancer.

Georgia Shakespeare announces open auditions for the lead role of 'Ralphie' in the live stage production of A CHRISTMAS STORY to run Dec 7-26, 2010, at Georgia Shakespeare on the campus of Oglethorpe University. Four open auditions will be held at various locations around Atlanta in the coming weeks. For the role of Ralphie, Georgia Shakespeare is looking for boys who look between the ages of 10 and 12, but are not over the age of 13.

The first annual Warwick Jazz Festival will take place from August 26th to the 29th. This event, conceived and produced by local jazz musician Steve Rubin, in cooperation with venues presenting live music, the village of Warwick and local business will be an extension of a vibrant local jazz culture.

The evening is sure to allow the mischievous side to enjoy some of the most playful literature ever conceived without the judging eyes of children.
