Inspired by Simon’s own early days in show biz churning out jokes, Laughter provides a hilarious, behind-the-scenes look at the making of a 1950’s television variety show re-creating the neuroses, nonstop gags, and constant one-upmanship of a team of brilliant and funny social misfits as they battle McCarthyism, television execs, and, of course, each other to get (and keep) the show on the air. You’ll laugh til it hurts!
