On May 4th - at its annual fundraising gala, A Marvelous Party! - Penfold Theatre Company announced its 2014-15 season line-up:

Now Then Again
By Penny Penniston
September 18 - October 12, 2014 at Trinity Street Theatre

The ordinary lives of Henry and Ginny, two physicists working at Chicago's world renowned Fermilab, receive a cosmic (or perhaps quantum) shake-up when the hands of destiny move forward and backward in time to weave their seemingly incompatible lives together. Sweet, smart and disarmingly funny, Now Then Again is a love story inspired by theories from quantum mechanics. Winner of Chicago's prestigious "Jeff Award" for Best New Play, it now receives its Texas premiere.

Miracle on 34th Street: a classic Penfold radiocast
By Nathan Jerkins
December 4-28, 2014 at Old Settlers Hall

The players at the fictional KPNF radio station return to put their stamp on a brand new holiday classic - Miracle on 34th Street. As they bring to life the entire story through dozens of character voices and live foley sound effects, you'll be re-introduced to Kris Kringle, the charming Macy's mascot put on trial for claiming to be real Santa Claus. Besieged by commercialism, skepticism and disillusionment, winning the trial and restoring his friends' faith in the most precious, intangible parts of Christmas will require of Kris nothing short of a miracle!

The Last Five Years
By Jason Robert Brown
March 19 - April 12, 2015 at Trinity Street Theatre

The Last Five Years tells the emotionally powerful story of two 20-something New Yorkers who dive head first into a marriage fueled by the optimism that comes with finding "the one." But in a city where professional and personal passions collide and only the strongest relationships survive, navigating the waters of love and matrimony can sometimes prove too much. Funny, honest, and intimate, with an exuberantly romantic score, the Drama Desk Award-winning story explores the delicacy of love.

The Hound of the Baskervilles
Adapted from Arthur Conan Doyle by Steven Canny & John Nicholson
June 4-27, 2015 at the Round Rock Amphitheater

When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead on his estate, with a look of terror still etched on his face, and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside his body, the great detective Sherlock Holmes is summoned from Baker Street, with Dr Watson in tow, to unravel the mysteries surrounding his death, and investigate the ancient curse of the Hound of the Baskervilles. In this hilarious new adaptation, Arthur Conan Doyle's classic novel has been given a treatment reminiscent of Monty Python and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).

Penfold Theatre Company cultivates a love for live theatre in northern Travis and Williamson Counties by offering first-class, professional theatre performances and education programs. The 2013-2014 Season will close with Romeo & Juliet, running June 5-28, 2014.

This is Penfold's seventh season. More information is available online at http://www.penfoldtheatre.org/about/2014_15.
