Women's Project Theater's New York premiere of COLLAPSE, Allison Moore's hilarious comedy directed by Jackson Gay of four middle class people trapped by the 2007 collapse of the I-35W Mississippi River Bridge, the 2008 collapse of the world economy, post-traumatic stress disorder, and sex addiction, opens tonight (April 16) at 7:30pm at New York City Center Stage II, 131 West 55th Street, for a run through May 19.

COLLAPSE features Nadia Bowers, Hannah Cabell, Maurice McRae, and Elliot Villar.

COLLAPSE has scenery by Lee Savage, costumes by Oana Botez, lighting by Paul Whitaker and sound by Jill B C Du Boff. Jess Johnston is the production stage manager.

"Our 35th anniversary season questions the state of the American dream," said Julie Crosby, Producing Artistic Director of Women's Project Theater. "Bethany and Jackie, each nominated for two Lortel awards, ignited a lot of intense conversation on the subject, and it'll be so much fun to flame the discussion with the hilarity of Collapse."

Playwright Allison Moore's COLLAPSE had a rolling series of 2011- 2012 premieres at Berkeley's Aurora Theatre, Denver's Curious Theatre and Dallas's Kitchen Dog Theatre. The play has also been produced by Theater B in Sacramento, Third Rail Rep in Portland (Oregon), and the Know Theater in Cincinnati. Other of Ms. Moore's plays have been seen at 2011 Humana Festival Anthology Project, Illusion Theater, 2009 Humana Festival, Kitchen Dog Theater, 2005 Humana Festival, Cherry Lane and the O'Neill Playwrights Conference.

Director Jackson Gay's recent productions include The Jammer by Rolin Jones at Atlantic Theater, 3C by David Adjmi at Rattlestick; A Little Journey at The Mint (2012 Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Revival); Red at Alley Theatre and Fallow by Ken Lin at People's Light and Ojai Playwrights Conference.

Single tickets ($60+) can be purchased online at www.NYCityCenter.org, by calling CityTix at 212 581-1212, or at the New York City Center Box Office at 131 West 55th Street.
