Stage, film and TV superstar Kerry Washington is one of the most popular women in all of entertainment at the moment thanks to the mega-hit status of her steamy nighttime soap SCANDAL and the attractive headliner covers the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine in nothing but a swimsuit and a smile.

Proving one does not need to wear much to still have it all and show it off - and then some - Washington poses provocatively in a white cut-out one-piece on the cover, while donning more refined clothing further on in the attractive series of shots.

While the entire article and photo set are not yet available to view in full, some preview images from the set by famed photographer Norman Jean Roy have leaked, clueing us in on the the color and black-and-white shoot - and what stunners they are!

Additionally, Washington touches upon how important her stage training has been throughout her career - particularly in writing and performing sketches for teens as a safe sex advocate and teacher.

Washington tells the magazine of her tenure as a sex ed instructor, "We would stay in character after the show, and the audience would interact with us. It taught me the importance of really understanding everything about who you're playing, because you never knew what question was going to come."

The new August issue of Vanity Fair is on newsstands this week.
