Building on the success of the first ever Public Radio Rocks SXSW Day Stage in 2013, WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org), New York's Music Discovery station, is again teaming with four other leading public radio stations for a live radio broadcast and webcast from the SXSW Radio Day Stage at the Austin, Texas Convention Center as part of the SXSW music convention on Friday, March 14, starting at 1 p.m. ET.

This year the performers will be a mix of American and British artists, who will perform in this order: Damon Albarn (U.K.), Lucius (U.S.), The Hold Steady (U.S.), Phantogram (U.S.), Jeremy Messersmith (U.S.), and Temples (U.K.).

In addition to WFUV, the participating public radio stations are WXPN-FM/Philadelphia, KUTX-FM/Austin, KXT-FM/Dallas, and The Current/Minneapolis. Each station will broadcast and stream March 14.

The annual SXSW (South By Southwest) music convention, now in its 28th year, is "the biggest and most anticipated convergence of all things music," offering compelling daytime programming and stellar nighttime showcases for literally thousands of fans throughout the city of Austin.
"We were blown away by the success of our Day Stage last year," said WFUV Program Director Rita Houston. "It really made a statement about the power of public radio in breaking artists. I'm particularly proud that three of the artists - Lucius, The Hold Steady, and Phantogram - are from New York and that we can share them with the world."

Once again this year WFUV will also capture other SXSW highlights, including video interviews which will be posted throughout the weekend with artists including Bear's Den, The Strypes, Hozier, Mary Lambert, Allen Stone, Ages and Ages, and Thumpers at the Hotel San Jose. Music lovers can also follow Team FUV's posts throughout the weekend on Facebook and Twitter (#fuvsxsw).
