Lithgow last appeared on Broadway in A DELICATE BALANCE with Glenn Close. Before that, the prolific stage actor starred on the Great White Way in THE COLUMNIST, ALL MY SONS, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, THE RETREAT FROM MOSCOW, THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS (his second Tony in 2002), M. BUTTERFLY, REQUIEM FOR A HEAVYWEIGHT, BEYOND THERAPY, DIVISION STREET, BEDROOM FARCE, SPOKESONG, ONCE IN A LIFETIME, ANNA CHRISTIE, COMEDIANS, BOY MEETS GIRL, SECRET SERVICE, A MEMORY OF TWO MONDAYS / 27 WAGONS FULL OF COTTON, TRELAWNY OF THE 'WELLS', MY FAT FRIEND and THE CHANGING ROOM, which earned him his first Tony Award in 1973. He has also appeared at Shakespeare in the Park in KING LEAR, in THE MAGISTRATE in the West End and more.

A five-time Emmy winner, two-time Golden Globe honoree and twice Oscar-nominated actor, Lithgow is also well known for his TV roles as 'Dick Solomon' in 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN and 'Arthur Mitchell' in DEXTER. He portrayed 'Lucas Sergeant' in Bob Fosse's movie ALL THAT JAZZ in the late '70s, and also appeared in critically acclaimed roles on the big screen in THE WORLD ACCORDING TO GARP and TERMS OF ENDEARMENT.
