Two-time Olivier Award winning playwright Simon Stephens was warmly welcomed to Broadway nearly two years ago when his THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME opened to great acclaim and eventually took the Tony for Best Play.

Alas, the production ends its Broadway run this weekend, but while the writer may shed a tear or two while walking past its Barrymore Theatre home, his spirits are lifted to see the next door Samuel J. Friedman Theatre all set to welcome the Broadway transfer of his newest, Heisenberg.

Director Mark Brokaw's production, starring Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker and Denis Arndt, opened this spring at Manhattan Theatre Club's Off-Broadway New York City Center location. Previews for the Broadway transfer start Tuesday, September 20 with opening night set for Thursday, October 13 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Amidst the bustle of a crowded London train station, Georgie (Mary-Louise Parker) spots Alex (Denis Arndt), a much older man, and plants a kiss on his neck. This electric encounter thrusts these two strangers into a fascinating and life-changing game. Directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw (THE LYONS, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE), Heisenberg brings to blazing, theatrical life the uncertain and often comical sparring match that is human connection.
