Oscar winner Denzel Washington spoke with reporter Bill Whitaker on last night's 60 MINUTES. The 61-yr.-old actor has gone two for six in the Academy Awards over a career whose latest chapter puts the A-lister in the roles of director, producer and star actor in FENCES, the film adaptation of August Wilson's hit play. Denzel Washington and Viola Davis reprise their roles in a big screen adaptation of August Wilson's 1983 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play FENCES. Washington will also direct the film, hitting theaters on Christmas Day, December 25th from Paramount Studios. Check out new poster art below!

FENCES is directed by Denzel Washington from a screenplay by August Wilson, adapted from Wilson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play. The film stars Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Jovan Adepo, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, and Saniyya Sydney. The film is produced by Denzel Washington, Todd Black and Scott Rudin.

The 2010 Broadway production of FENCES was produced by Scott Rudin and starred Washington and Davis. The show received Tonys for best revival of a play, best actor in a play (Washington) and best actress in a play (Davis). Stephen McKinley Henderson also received a Tony nomination as best featured actor in a play.
