At their concert Sunday night at Chicago's United Center, U2 renamed their iconic song, "Pride (In the Name of Love)" to "Gay Pride (In the Name of Love)."

"This is our America!" shouted the group's frontman Bono, before breaking into the hit song. During the performance, Bono also asked fans to send their love out to Ferguson and Charleston. Watch the clip below!

Bono and U2 bandmate The Edge are known on Broadway for contributing the music and lyrics to 2011's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. The musical was based on Marvel's Spider-Man comic book series, but it gained much nororeity the year before it premiered due to a series of varying production troubles. Last fall, Bono was injured in a cycling accident which delayed U2's North American Innocence + Experience Tour.
