VAMPIRE WEEKEND's North American Tour to Kick Off 9/19

As if a second #1 record, third SNL appearance, and triumphant festival headline sets including last month's Lollapalooza (see above) weren't enough, Vampire Weekend will now branch out into the field of journalism: Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson and Chris Baio will serve as special guests and assistant editors for the September 12th issue of the daily Metro newspapers in Boston, New York and Philadelphia. Working together with the papers' permanent editors, the band will choose subject matter to be covered by the publications while curating a special section devoted to the best foods of New York City.

VW's appointment as Metro assistant editors precedes the band's North American tour, which kicks off September 19th in Philadelphia and continues across the United States until the end of October. A complete listing of Vampire Weekend's upcoming dates can be found below.
