Untitled Theater Co. #61 announces two new websites with the full, free text of LYSISTRATA and IPHIGENIA IN AULIS in English translation.

Both original translations are by Artistic Director Edward Einhorn. These are the first two sites of UTC61's Greek Theater Project, a new online initiative created to make available modern translations of ancient Greek plays, along with supporting materials, for those who wish to study those plays.

Rights to the performance of the plays will still be charged, but for those wishing to read or use excerpts of the plays in broader context, the rights will be free.

The first two plays to receive their own websites, IPHIGENIA IN AULIS and LYSISTRATA, were both produced by Untitled Theater Company #61, LYSISTRATA was also published by Theater 61 Press.

Regarding LYSISTRATA, The Bryn Mawr Review stated "Einhorn has done a thorough job of streamlining the play and making it dramatically coherent...Einhorn's LYSISTRATA is basically a fun story with a timeless appeal and lots of room for camp". Blog critics praised IPHIGENIA IN AULIS as "skillfully bringing out all the pathos and human drama."

Untitled Theater Company #61 (UTC61) is a Theater of Ideas: scientific, political, philosophical, and above all theatrical. UTC61 previous productions and events have included The Václav Havel Festival; the NEUROfest (plays about neurology); the Off-Broadway production of Fairy Tales of the Absurd; The Velvet Oratorio, which premiered at the Walter Bruno Theater at Lincoln Center; The Pig, or Václav Havel's Hunt for a Pig, at 3LD; adaptations of the science fiction novels Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, The Lathe of Heaven, and Cat's Cradle, at 3LD; Monay Lab, an economic vaudeville, at HERE Arts Center; LYSISTRATA, at UnderWater Theater; The God Projeckt, at Le MaMa; and IPHIGENIA IN AULIS, also at La MaMa.
