The University of Montana will present Michael Frayn's Noises Off, considered to be one of the funniest farces ever written. Noises Off runs in the Montana Theatre of the Performing Arts and Radio/Television Center on campus April 19-23 and 26-30, 2017.

A raucous glimpse at backstage life and the extreme perils inherent in the production process, this uproarious and much-lauded comedy is a love letter to the theatre. A play within a play, Noises Off follows the attempts of an overly ambitious director to stage a bedroom farce with the deck stacked against him in the form of his enthusiastic but inept cast and crew. Fragile artistic egos, the simultaneous thrill and drudgery of rehearsing, and what happens when props seem to have minds of their own are all skewered to hilarious effect.

Please note that Noises Off contains adult language and content alongside side-splitting comedy!

For tickets to Noises Off, call the UMArts Box Office at 406-243-4581, Tuesday-Friday from noon to 6:00 pm, or order tickets online at www.umt.edu/theatredance.
