ET has confirmed that 61-year-old actor Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Kayte Grammer welcomed son Auden James Ellis Grammer into the world on Monday, November 15th. The new arrival weighed in at 7 lbs. and measured 21 inches long. The actor's rep tells the site, "Both mother and son are doing great."

Little Auden is named after two famous men admired by the couple, poet W.H. Auden and singer James Taylor. 'Ellis' is Kelsey's great grandfather's name on his mother's side. Says the actor of the relative, "He was a colorful character to say the least and we wanted to give the name a second chance."

Auden marks the seventh child for Kelsey, and the third child for him and Kayte, parents to 4-year-old daughter, Faith, and 2-year-old son, Kelsey Gabriel. Kelsey also has four other children -- Spencer, 33, Greer, 24, Mason, 15, and Jude, 12 from previous marriages.

Grammer is best known for his two-decade portrayal of psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane on the NBC sitcoms Cheers and Frasier.
