Xanadu's Tony nominee for Best Actress, Kerry Butler, will appear at the Virgin Megastore Times Square on Wednesday, May 28th, at 5:00 PM, in celebration of her debut solo album FAITH, TRUST & PIXIE DUST, released May 13th on PS Classics.

Part of Virgin Megastore's ongoing Tony Awards campaign, the store will be playing selections throughout the day from all of Kerry's albums – from Bat Boy to Hairspray, from Xanadu to her new solo disc.  Then at 5 PM, Kerry will be welcomed to the DJ booth overlooking the store, for a 30-minute one-on-one interview.  Following the interview, Kerry will return to the main floor to sign copies of her new release, FAITH, TRUST & PIXIE DUST

Fans and customers with specific questions for Kerry are invited to send them to Kerry's website, http://www.kerrybutler.net, and Virgin will incorporate several of them into the DJ interview.

FAITH, TRUST & PIXIE DUST find Kerry taking on seventy years of unforgettable Disney material – from wartime standards ("When You Wish Upon a Star," "Baby Mine") to newer pop songs (Randy Newman's "When She Loved Me," Jonatha Brooke's "I'll Try") to rarities (Alan Menken's "This Only Happens in the Movies"). With provocative, imaginative and deeply personal arrangements by Broadway's best, including Tony Award-winner Michael Starobin (Assassins, Spelling Bee) and Larry Hochman (Monty Python's Spamalot), the album is produced by esteemed music director Michael Kosarin.

Kerry Butler received rave reviews for her current leading role in the hit Broadway musical Xanadu. The New York Times raved,"Kerry Butler, as the Greek demi-goddess Clio, who also roams Venice Beach as the Australian mortal Kira, is simply heaven on eight little polyurethane wheels."  Kerry made her Broadway debut as Belle in Beauty in the Beast.  She followed that with Blood Brothers, Les Miserables and Little Shop of Horrors, for which she received an Outer Critics Circle nomination.  She received rave reviews for creating the role of Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, which garnered her Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations.
