Rolling Stone-recognized singer/songwriter Eric Durrance and his Tobacco Rd Band (TRB) will rock Nashville deep-Southern style, with a free concert and party at Honky Tonk Central on Saturday, September 21. The show will help kick off Music City USA's newest independent record label, Silvercreek Records, which is sponsoring the event along with Coors Light. Admission will be first-come, first-served.

"We're excited about being Silvercreek's first push," Durrance said. "They want to make an impression in Nashville, and so do we. They were willing to accept us as for who we are, and not try to change us. Together, I think we can make things happen."

The Tobacco Rd Band is already working on their first album under the Silvercreek banner, while continuing to promote their recent release, "That's Country," featuring Colt Ford (Average Joe's Entertainment). Durrance also co-wrote Jake Owen's hit "8 Second Ride," which the long-time friends recently performed together to a packed house at the Leon County Civic Center in Durrance's hometown of Tallahassee, Florida.

The Tobacco Rd Band, which has attracted a loyal concert following since forming in 2011, is best-known for the singles "Coming Back Around," "Jesus and Guns" and "Boom." Before forming TRB, Durrance toured as a solo act with Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean as part of "CMT on Tour" in 2008. Prior to that, he was lead singer with the acclaimed Christian rock band Big Dismal, whichRolling Stone recognized as one of "Five Christian Bands on the Rise." With Tobacco Rd Band, Durrance has returned to his secular roots, combining classic country with high-energy, hard-partying Southern rock.

"We don't have a cookie-cutter Nashville sound," he said. "I think we're basically a garage band that does country music. I write the songs and everybody gets together and figures out how to make them better. It's an old-school approach to songwriting."

With offices now on Music Row, Silvercreek Records began several years ago as a music publishing company and recording studio in Columbia, Mississippi. President and CEO Stafond Seago, who is also a musician and songwriter, has performed in local bands and has written songs for other artists and movie soundtracks. Earlier this year, he teamed up with veteran Nashville songwriter, producer and plugger Steve Pope to start Silvercreek Records. Pope had previously worked with Pride Music Group, Porter-Gentry Productions, Sunstone Music Group, Malaco Music Group, Web Four/Caliber Music and Blue Steel Records. Through the years, he has secured many hits, including "Wild Horses" (Garth Brooks), "Never Again, Again" (Lee Ann Womack), "I Know She Still Loves Me" (George Strait), "It Doesn't Get Any Countrier Than This" (Tim McGRaw) and more.

"Steve and I have been in the business for a long time, and we've seen the good and the bad," Seago said. "Our goal is to have a successful label and give our artists a fair shake. We're proud to have the Tobacco Rd Band sign with us."

The Silvercreek Records/Tobacco Rd Band launch party and concert will take place on Saturday, September 21, at Honky Tonk Central, 329 Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee 37201 from 9:00 p.m.-midnight. Eric Durrance and the Tobacco Rd Band will perform 10:00-11:00, followed by an autograph session. Several signed guitars from sponsor Coors Light will be given away. The event is open to the public. No cover charge. Must be 21.
