"Seussical" combines the many magical worlds of Dr. Seuss to offer a unique and fun-filled experience for the entire family. The Cat in the Hat, played alternately by Holden Fox and Jordan Jones, guides the audience through the endeavors of Horton the Elephant, played Patrick Lescarbeau, as he desperately tries to protect the denizens of Who, "the tiniest planet in the sky." Horton vows to protect his new friend, but the other jungle creatures eventually steal the clover. Horton's struggles to get it back send him all over the world of Dr. Seuss -- eventually landing him up in a tree caring for the egg of Mayzie La Bird, played by April Lyon, and to New York City as part of the Circus McGurkus.

Directed by Wendy Ferrell with vocal direction by Deborah Vanicek and choreography by Virginia Shoemake, "Seussical" also features Riley Gisi as Jojo, Jennifer Brust as Gertrude McFuzz, Kay Baker as Sour Kangaroo, Randy L. Hilmer as General Genghis Kahn Schmitz, Ryan Schnitzler as The Mayor of Whoville, Linda Mayo as Mrs. Mayor, Renée Hand, Anna Jones and Grace Todd as the Bird Girls, and Corey Bogue, Holden Fox, Jordan Jones and Nathan Haywood as the Wickersham Brothers.

"Seussical" will be presented by the Hill Country Community Theatre, 4003 W FM 2147, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657. The show will open on July 16 and run through July 26.
