Theater at Lime Kiln Announces A Diamond Giveaway

By:

Hamric and Sheridan Jewelers, 11 West Nelson Street in Lexington, is once again donating a ½ carat diamond to benefit Theater at Lime Kiln's Casino Night Gala, Viva Las Vegas! The diamond retails at $2000, according to Robby Jones of Hamric and Sheridan.

"We cannot thank Hamric and Sheridan enough for their generosity over the years," said Kim Renz, executive director of Lime Kiln. "They are the chief sponsor for Viva Las Vegas! This event is our biggest night of the year, and the sale of chances to win the diamond fund a great deal of the evening."
Renz continued, "We start with 200 cubic zirconium stones. Folks buy one for $20. Mr. Jones has marked one stone, signifying the winner. After Viva Las Vegas! on Saturday, January 30th, those who purchased the stones take theirs to Hamric and Sheridan to find out who won the real stone. So not only does someone win a $2000 diamond, up to 200 others can use the ones they bought for $20 to set as they wish."

The $4000 raised through sales of the stones helps pay for almost half of the fundraising event, said Renz. "This is another way the community can help keep live theatre and music in Lexington all summer. The Gala is our most important single event. We hope to raise over $30,000 again this year. Those funds help make our season happen."

Lexington Visitors Center at 106 East Washington Street, Rockbridge Music at 205 North Main Street and the Lime Kiln Arts office at 20 West Washington Street in Lexington are selling the $20 chances.
