Critics Ben Brantley of The New York Times, Peter Marks of The Washington Post, and Terry Teachout of The Wall Street Journal review the current spring season on Broadway in the newest THEATER TALK this weekend.

Critics: Brantley, Marks and Teachout Review the New Season premieres Friday, May 11 (2012) at 1 a.m. on Thirteen, followed by airings on CUNY TV* Saturday 5/12 (8:30 PM), Sunday 5/13 (12:30 PM) and Monday 5/14 (7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM).  THEATER TALK is co-hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and producer Susan Haskins

The Broadway shows, praised and panned, include "One Man, Two Guvnors," "Death Of A Salesman," "Gore Vidal's The Best Man," "Newsies," "Once," “Evita,” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. The critics also look beyond Broadway and cite some of their favorite shows “off the radar.”

THEATER TALK is jointly produced by not-for-profits Theater Talk Productions and CUNY TV.  The program is taped in the Himan Brown TV and Radio Studios at The City University of New York (CUNY) TV in Manhattan, and is distributed to 70+ participating public television stations nationwide. THEATER TALK is made possible in part by The New York State Council on the Arts, The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, The TDF/TAP Plus Program, The CUNY TV Foundation and The Friends of THEATER TALK.
