The BEACH BOYS, still celebrating their 50th Anniversary of making music, have scheduled a stop at the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut on Saturday, April 12 at 8pm.

As Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, The Beach Boys continue to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America's musical history. They have become synonymous with the California lifestyle as well as an American icon to a worldwide audience.

Since lead-singer and rock's quintessential front man Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys' first hit, "Surfin'" (1961), the band has had a string of chart-topping songs and albums that spans the career and includes eternal anthems of American youth: "Surfin' USA," "Surfer Girl," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around," "California Girls," "Help Me Rhonda," "Barbara Ann," "Good Vibrations," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Rock and Roll Music" and "Kokomo."

"That's Why God Made the Radio," The Beach Boys twenty-ninth studio album released in 2012 to coincide with the band's 50th anniversary, is the first to feature original material since their release of "Summer in Paradise" in 1992.

According to Mike Love "It's pretty miraculous that we can start out as a bunch of guys who didn't know anything about fame or money, or anything like that. All we knew was we liked to sing and make harmonies together. So to have it become part of American musical culture is pretty amazing."

Impressively, The Beach Boys continue to hold Billboard/Nielsen SoundScan's record as the top-selling American band for albums and singles. They are also the American group with the most Billboard Top 40 chart hits (36). "Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach Boys" has achieved triple-Platinum sales status and "The SMiLE Sessions," released to worldwide critical acclaim, was heralded as 2011's #1 Reissue of the Year by Rolling Stone magazine.

Recipients of The Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, The Beach Boys are a beloved American institution that remains iconic around the world.

Band members include: Michael Love, Bruce Johnston, Tim Bonhomme, Scott Totten, Randell Kirsch, John Cowsill and Christian Love.
