On Sunday, September 21st at 6pm, The Actor's Fund will be presenting the new production Frankie D., written and directed by Rosemary Edelman. The show follows the story of an upscale African-American carpenter who gets ripped off by two African-American ghetto kids, and instead of throwing them in jail, when he realizes how horrific their life is, he takes them as his, because he was these kids. Running time is 95 minutes.

Starring in the production are Todd Bridges (Diff'rent Strokes, Everyone Hates Chris, Skaters on Edge) Sheryl Lee Ralph (Sister Act 2, Dreamgirls, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Aaron Meeks (Soul Food)

The performance will take place at City Cinemas Village East 181 Second Avenue @ 12th Street.

Please RSVP to 212.221.7300, ext. 203 by 12 pm on Friday, September 12th. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis, as space is limited.

The Actor's Fund is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1882. The fund assists performers involved in theatre, dance, music, opera, television, movies and so much more. Every year it reaches out to over 8,000 performers, and is regarded as one of the key organizations of the entertainment industry. In fact, an anual tradition of Broadway shows is to have one performance be dedicated to the Actors Fund, in which a share of the profits are given to the organization as a sign of homage.
