As part of the 29th annual Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival in New Orleans from March 25th through 29th, the rooms of the historic Hermann-Grima House Museum will echo with performances of plays by Tennessee Williams written and set in the French Quarter.

After sold out performances in past years, the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, the country's largest performing arts festival devoted to America's great playwright, returns to the Big Easy with a new edition of its signature The Hotel Plays. Tennessee Williams wrote several one-act plays set inside a hotel room or boarding house room; four of these plays are showcased together during this special performance in which the audience moves from room to room.

David Kaplan, curator of the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival and director of the event says, "Watching Tennessee Williams' French Quarter plays in the Hermann-Grima House is like hearing Beethoven performed on original instruments. It's as if every play has another character: the house."
We're so excited to bring such an innovative production to the Hermann-Grima House. Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival puts on a show that fills the senses and delivers a true experience to audience members," said Hermann-Grima +Gallier Historic Houses Executive Director, Mamie Sterkx Gasperecz. "The plays fit well with our vision to offer educational, entertainment and interactive programming, while maintaining our commitment to historic preservation."

Live music accompanies the 2015 New Orleans edition of The Hotel Plays. Twelve of the fourteen actors are New Orleans based. Seating is limited. Last year's collection of The Hotel Plays sold out its run 48 hours after the first preview.

Tickets: $30. For tickets call 504.525-5661, or visit the website at www.tennesseewilliams.net. For info on the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival visit www.twptown.org.
