Telemundo Studios heads to Los Angeles to kick off production of "Dama y Obrero," a new original telenovela starring Ana Layevska, José Luis Reséndez and Fabián Ríos. Set in locations such as Beverly Hills, the famous "East LA" neighborhood, Santa Monica and Malibu, this is a love story of two people who discover that, despite the many obstacles keeping them apart, their love is capable of transcending all adversaries, prejudice and class differences. "Dama y Obrero" is an original story by renowned scriptwriter José Ignacio Valenzuela (La Casa de al Lado), adapted for Telemundo Studios by Sandra Velazco with the executive production under Aurelio Valcarcel.

About the cast:

Ana Layevska is a renowned telenovela star whose career includes a great number of productions in Mexico and the United States. The Ukrainian-born actress has had starring roles in several Telemundo original productions, including "Relaciones Peligrosas," "Mi Corazón Insiste" and "El Fantasma de Elena." She appeared for the first time on US movie screens alongside Salma Hayek and Edward James Olmos in the acclaimed film "In the Time of Butterflies."

Mexican leading man José Luis Resendez returns to Telemundo after his starring role in "Corazón Valiente." Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Resendez has a successful career in telenovelas, television series and film. At Telemundo, he participated in the original productions "Flor Salvaje" and "Los Herederos del Monte" shot in Colombia. He also has appeared in movies like "Punto y Aparte" (Mexico, 2002).

Fabián Ríos has become one of Hispanic television's most popular leading men since his successful participation in the original Telemundo productions "Corazón Valiente," "Los Herederos del Monte," "Mi Corazón Insiste" and "El Fantasma de Elena." Named one of People en Español's sexiest men of 2012, Fabián gained international fame outside his native Colombia with the character Albeiro in "Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso."
