Santa Claus is dead, the reindeer are armed, the elves are hedonistic party monsters, and all the children have gone mad. Welcome to Xmas Town, a dark and deranged city that was built after a mysterious disaster destroyed wholesome Christmas Town. But now the town is facing a new threat: rumors are flying that the true end is near. For our town of wicked holiday characters, this might be their last Christmas Eve. Part haunted house, part children's theatre for adults, The ChristmApocalypse: The Xmas Town Trilogy is a singular theatrical experience for the Holiday season.

The ChristmApocalypse: The Xmas Town Trilogy is three theatrical episodes that feature interactive singalongs and games as the Reindeer, the Elves, and the Frosts vie for power. Part One is The Den of Broken Toys: A Tale of Mad Children and tells the stories of Sour Sallie, Rotten Reggie, and other twisted children who live in Xmas Town. Part Two is The Snow Queen's Court: A Tale of Lust and Frost and follows the intrigue and plots of The Snow Queen, her favorite prostitute Suzy Snowflake, and her brother Jack Frost. Part Three, Santa's Bomb Shelter: The End of Xmas Town sees all of our Xmas Town residents stuck together in a bomb shelter, awaiting the end of the world.

Mixing twisted Christmas Carols, post-apocalyptic imagery, and ensemble-devised dance, The ChristmApocalypse is written and directed by Rachel Kerry and produced by Alex Randrup. The cast includes Khamailei Burrell, Ashlee Danielle, Diana DiCostanzo, Tori Ernst, Helena Farhi, Travis James, Ian Prince, Jon Rentler, Jonathan Schenk, Chris Smith, Sarah Wilhelm, Jessie Winograd, and Ewa Maria Wojcik.

The trilogy is presented tonight, December 12th at 7pm at West-Park Presbyterian Church's McAlpin Hall (165 W 86th Street). Tickets are $60 and may be obtained through eventbrite.
