Steps off Broadway Productions, Inc., will be performing the stage production of Fiddler on the Roof on August 17th, 23rd, 24th at 7:30 PM and August 18th and 25th at 2:00 PM.

After a very successful first weekend, Fiddler on the Roof will be performing one last weekend this weekend. The production of Fiddler is the last of the Steps Summer Stage production. Steps have brought 4 large scale musicals to Bellingham in 8 weeks. Each musical has been directed by a guest director from across the country. Fiddler on the Roof has been under the direction of Cheryl Swift of New York City. Cheryl comes to Bellingham with many years of experience in the business. Cheryl has worked as a dancer in Disney, been a dance captain for the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast, has performed in many broadway productions overseas including Fiddler. Swift will be joined by Bellingham's own, Keith Mottola with the production help from Arlena Boyle of Upton, MA. The Muscial Director is Esther Zabinski of Pawtucket, RI. Swift was assisted by Leta Kritzman Lenik in staging the Wedding scene.

Joseph Conlon of Rhode Island plays the lead role of Tevye. Conlon is fantastic in this role and his voice is just mesmerizing. His tale of his hardship and life with five daughters is brought to life by Conlon. He will have you laughing and crying from the first song of Tradition to his last exit out of Anatevka. Conlon is joined by Franklin resident Kerri Cooper who plays his wife Golde. The two of them have very funny moments that you will not want to miss.

This show is based on Tevye and his Daughters (or Tevye the Milkman and Other Tales) by Sholem Aleichem. The story centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters-each one's choice of husband moves further away from the customs of her faith-and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.

Cast includes: Aubrie Bagdasarian, Alexis Ghioni, Dave Ghioni, Robert Oliver, Meg Sawicki of Bellingham; Kerri Cooper, Stephanie Crugnola, Emily Dufour, Troy Wheeler of Franklin; Tiffany Sheedy of Medway; Audrey Miller of Milford; Caitlin Yatsuhashi of Norfolk; Lauren Pelland of Upton; Sam Forgie, Ryan Leverone of Uxbridge; Michael Sullivan of Walpole; Jim Kopycinski of Sudbury; Anna Bramley of Mansfield; Liz Jaques of North Attleboro; Anthony Bollino of Attleboro; Madeline Howard of Northboro; Joseph Conlon, Sarah Dube, Devon Matos, Mikala Matos, Greg Silver of Rhode Island; Christine Crugnola Petruniw, Wladimir Petruniw of Connecticut.
