United Solo™ welcomes back writer/performer, Tulis McCall, winner of Best Storytelling Script Award from United Solo 2015, to present her latest solo work, Are You Serious? - A Woman of a Certain Age Inquires. This funny, poignant and gently in-your-face rumination on arriving at the inevitable and being unprepared will be performed on Monday, September 19th at 7:30pm at The Studio Theatre @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street - just east of Broadway.) Tickets are $20.25 (including a $2.25 theatre restoration charge) and are available at the Theatre Row Box Office and online through www.telecharge.com. You may also call Telecharge at 212-239-6200. United Solo is the world's largest solo theater festival.

In Are You Serious? Tulis McCall invites the audience into the world of a Woman of a Certain Age. Get ready to rumble with a boomer.

"If you are older than I, thank you for beating the bushes and leaving a trail," says McCall. "If you are younger than I, think of me as waiting for you on the other side of your mid-life crisis. If you are my peer, welcome to the Bar Car. Drinks are on the house." In Are You Serious? McCall invites asks us to reflect on a journey that is universal but rarely acknowledged. "Once we are 'evicted from the womb' we are all on the same trajectory, so why is our mortality the last thing any of us want to discuss or consider?" McCall muses on how we ignore and euphemize aging, especially the female variety, until we arrive on its doorstep. "We dismiss the mileage on our own personal odometers until we reach that tipping point where the future is shorter than the past."

Alternately hilarious, thoughtful, and out-of-the box intelligent, this is a show that pulls apart the minutiae of life's machinery and reassembles the pieces in a new configuration.
