Broadway Arts Factory presents Broadway leading lady Sierra Boggess in Lessons in Love tonight, April 21st, 2013. Lessons in Love is a very special evening in which Sierra Boggess shares her love of life, the theatre, and some very special people who influenced and changed her life forever. Realizing that the answers are within, this journey reveals inspirational moments, from humble beginnings to the bright lights of Broadway. A silent auction & cocktail reception will be held at 6pm and the performance begins at 7:30pm at The Riverside Church (91 Claremont Avenue New York NY 10027). Tickets are $65 and $95.

All proceeds will benefit Broadway Arts Factory, a 501(c)(3) educational institution devoted to the training of triple threat musical theatre students. The mission of Broadway Arts Factory is to provide professional musical theatre training to students aged 11 to 18, irrespective of their socio-economic status, helping them to fully realize their dream of one day being on the Broadway stage.

Sierra Boggess recently finished her Broadway engagement as Christine Daae in Phantom of the Opera, celebrating the 25th Anniversary. She recently returned to the London stage for a limited engagement as Fantine in the original production of Les Miserables. Prior to that she starred in the 25th Anniversary Concerts of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera at Royal Albert Hall, played opposite Tyne Daly in the Broadway revival of Terrence McNally's Master Class and starred in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies in the West End, for which her performance as 'Christine Daae,' received a 2011 Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Sierra's other NY theatre credits include starring as the title character in the Broadway production of Disney's The Little Mermaid (Drama Desk and Drama League nominations and Broadway.com award for Favorite Breakthrough Performance), the final cast of off-Broadway's Love, Loss And What I Wore and in the City Center Encores! production of Music in the Air. She starred as 'Christine Daae' in the Las Vegas production of Phantom of the Opera and has been seen regionally as Binky in Princesses (world premiere, Goodspeed and 5th Avenue Theater), and in the national tours of Les Miserables and West Side Story. Concert appearances include The BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series: The Lyrics of David Zippel, New York Pops at Lincoln Center and Broadway by the Year at Town Hall. Sierra's television appearances include "The Today Show," "Good Morning America," "The View," "Entertainment Tonight," "The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," and "The 62nd Annual Tony Awards." She also appeared in People Magazine and on the cover of USA Weekend alongside Megan Mullally and Mario Lopez. Recordings include the 25th Anniversary Concert of The Phantom Of The Opera (also on DVD), the Symphonic Recording of Love Never Dies, the Original Cast Album for The Little Mermaid and Andrew Lippa's A Little Princess. She holds a BFA from Millikin University.

Broadway Arts Factory is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational institution devoted to the training of musical theatre students between the ages of 11 and 18. Operating on a sliding scale fee, we aim to inspire, inform, challenge, support, and educate each and every student that steps foot in our classroom - regardless of their financial background - helping them to fully realize their dream of one day being on the Broadway stage.
