Shelby Steiner's debut Spring/Summer Collection 2013 stormed down the runway at Chicago's Fashion Focus, thrilling the audience with bold prints with imagery of authentic rhino skeletal structure in a kaleidoscopic form on structure prints and stylized silhouettes. The powerful message was visually striking and yet suitable for a variety of settings from daywear to evening.

Shelby Steiner draws inspiration from all things in life with the intent to make the world a better place by calling attention to vital issues through her designs. Shelby drew inspiration for the line when she learned that the obsession for the highly prized rhino horns led to the poaching of the last female rhino in South Africa. Steiner has pledged that a portion of the proceeds from sales of the collection will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund to help avoid such future devastations.

If this debut is any indication, then Shelby Steiner's work will keep the fashion world aware that beauty can have the power to challenge even the most controversial of issues.
