San Diego Opera fans have a unique opportunity Thursday, February 6, at 5:30pm to meet an opera star and talk to them before their rehearsal for "The Elixir of Love".

This free group discussion will be led by moderator Dr. Nicolas Reveles as distinguished guests including singers, directors, and conductors from this show are ready to discuss their craft and answer audience questions. Find out how they work the music, become their characters, and how it all comes together on stage and behind the scenes.

"The Elixir of Love" is a romantic comedy that follows Nemorino, who desperately wants to marry the wealthy Adina. When she attracts a handsome Sergeant as her suitor/ Desperate to win her hand, he to Dr. Dulcamara's "elixir of love" in hope of winning her love.

This is the San Diego Opera debut for Italian tenor Giuseppe Filianoti, a star at La Scala, Paris Opera and Moscow's Bolshoi Opera, and Moldavian soprano, Tatiana Lisnic whose 'Adina' has delighted audiences at the Paris Opera, Vienna State Opera. They join favorites Kevin Burdette and Malcolm MacKenzie, Conductor Karen Kamensek, Music Director of the Staatsoper Hannover in her San Diego Opera debut and Stephen Lawless directs this Los Angeles Opera production.

This free event is held at the San Diego Civic Theatre in the Beverly Sills Salon on the second floor on Thursday, February 6 at 5:30pm. There is no reservation required to attend.
