A young Broadway star gets a song all her own!

MATILDA and VIOLET child star Emma Howard exclusively discusses the world premiere of a brand new song written especially for her by notable rising musical theatre and pop songwriter Michael Mott in today's BroadwayWorld exclusive.

Of note, Howard premiered the song live last night at Michael Mott's star-studded concert event THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS HOW at 54 Below and now the full studio recording is available to hear, as well.

Howard candidly shares, "The first time I had the song, I was at home and my mom had just gotten it and started playing it and I was just in awe! I was so excited and I just couldn't wait to sing it because, you know when you hear an amazing song and you're just like, "Oh, this is awesome!" and you just want to sing it and perform it? Well, that's what I did!"

Additionally, Howard says, "It reminded me a lot of the songs of the Disney princesses - especially my favorite one of all, Ariel in THE LITTLE MERMAID - and I love those kinds of songs. I love to sing that kind of stuff - great melodies and I definitely think 'Fly High' is a great song like 'Part Of Your World'."

Howard concludes, "Michael wrote me a classic like that and I am so honored to be able to sing it. I couldn't be more excited."
