Elmo is getting ready for one more tour down under before taking his dancing feet back to Sesame Street! This October is Australia's last chance to enjoy SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR - a live on stage, locally written and produced production.

SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR has played over 200 packed shows while touring Australia three times since 2012, taking 150,000 Australian fans on a voyage of the imagination where anything can happen!

Tickets are selling fast to the last ever SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR in Victoria, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and Perth from 2 October until 1 November. Ticketing outlets vary, details below.

Since they first kicked up their furry heels in SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR on Australian stages for Life Like Touring in 2012, Elmo and the Sesame Street gang have danced the Can Can 13,568 times; Big Bird has sung the word 'Hello' 6372 times to friends old and new; Abby Cadabby has used her magic to help guide their way 1060 times, Ernie has sung to his Rubber-Ducky 212 times, and Cookie Monster has eaten more letters of the alphabet than Elmo can count!

This much-loved all singing and all dancing musical production, written and produced by leading Australian family theatre producers Life Like Touring, is presented in association with Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organisation behind the world's leading children's television program Sesame Street.

"Locally developed content and characters, tailored for different cultures, has been a huge part of Sesame Street's worldwide success. We saw the need to create a unique live show for Australia. Sesame Workshop have been wonderful in understanding the uniqueness of our audiences and allowing us to create a localized live Sesame Street show for Australia. They also allowed us the honour of creating our very own Sesame Street friend - Lady Baa Baa," says Anton Berezin, Managing Director of Life Like Touring and SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR Producer.

The family production is written and directed by Life Like Touring's Theresa Borg, who also wrote and directed Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries, which has toured Australia three times, the Middle East, North America twice, and is now off to Spain.

"Working with the archetypal Sesame Street characters, we wanted to create an inclusive and relevant production. ELMO'S WORLD TOUR tips its hat to Australia's multiculturalism and has the irreverent sense of humour for which we are famous. The interactive elements of our show are careful to cater to parents as well as children, and our very own Lady Baa Baa mixes a Dame Edna Everage-like personality with a familiar and loveably 'sheepish' animal," says Theresa.

SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR sees the Sesame Street gang - Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, Grover, Zoe, Cookie Monster and Elmo - use the letters of the alphabet to navigate a voyage through the imagination that sees them visiting China, Zambia, France, India and Australia!

Elmo and his friends have fun learning how people sing, dance and say hello all over the world. But things don't go to plan when Cookie Monster eats the letter "C". Can Abby Cadabby find the right magic spell to help?

Along the way, audiences will hear a sensational tale from The Count, help some travelling rubber-duckies find a place to stay with Bert and Ernie, and see the Sesame Street gang make a new friend: the gregarious globe-trotter from the Gold Coast, Lady Baa Baa, who proves it's more fun to be mutton than lamb!

Featuring classic Sesame Street songs such as Elmo's Got The Moves, C is for Cookie, Rubber Duckie, Everyone Makes Mistakes and Elmo's World, the production also features new favourites such as, Dragon Dancing, Smiley Face and Can We Can Can.

Life Like Touring's SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO'S WORLD TOUR production has recently toured to Taiwan, where it played to an audience of 10,000 in Taipei. Life Like Touring is one of a handful of companies worldwide to be given the rights to produce live Sesame Street shows in the 45 year history of this brand.

Sesame Street has captured the hearts of Australian families since it began airing on ABC TV in 1971. Since that time, the popular TV series has been a mainstay for viewers the world over who enjoy local Sesame Street programs in over 150 countries. Sesame Street has become one of the most widely viewed children's television shows in the world, with 20 international independent versions featuring locally developed Sesame Street Muppets addressing the needs of children in that country. Sesame Street has won 10 Grammy Awards and 159 Emmy Awards - more than any other children's TV program.
