After his sold out concert Let's Hear it For the Goy last fall, your favorite "goyfriend" Chicago vocalist Russ Goeltenbodt is back with more music, mishigas, and mayhem. Join Russ, and his friends as he shares his highly personal story via music, of being the ultimate outsider: growing up Catholic in Skokie, the predominantly Jewish suburb of Chicago.

Accompanying Russ on piano and as musical director is Bob Moreen. Russ will also be joined by special guest vocalist Carla Gordon. This must-see concert takes place for one performance only at the Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, on Saturday, April 11 at 8:00pm. Tickets are $20 for this special performance and are available by calling 847-677-7761 or online at www.skokietheatre.org.

Russ has had a life long passion for singing. Having lived in Skokie for over 30 years, Russ sang with various choirs in grade school and high school, to appearing in the musical Camelot at Niles North High School. He has participated and performed solos with church choirs including St. Peter's in Skokie and is currently singing at St. Gertrude's in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood. Russ has also been a staple of Monday Nights Live at Petterino's and Davenport's open mic evenings. Russ is also a long-time member of the Chicago Cabaret Professionals.

Always dreaming of one day performing in his very own cabaret show. Russ came back home last fall to Skokie and fulfilled his life-long dream in the highly acclaimed, sold-out concert Let's Hear It For The Goy.. Hailed as "moving" and "engaging" by New York's Cabaret Scenes Magazine, Russ comes home again in its follow up Your Goy Friend's Back. In what promises to be an evening of more comedy, more stories of growing up in Skokie, and touching musical moments, this will make it another must-see experience.
