Riverdale Rising Stars to Celebrate 13th Anniversary with a BAR MITZVAH CELEBRATION

Over 60 alums of the award-winning Riverdale Rising Stars, the Bronx's premier performing arts organization for teenagers, will gather onstage at the Riverdale YM-YWHA for a one-night-only gala event to celebrate 13 years of musical theatre excellence.

This concert will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 5pm. Your tickets also includes a party afterwards featuring food, music, wine and beer. Proceeds will benefit the Riverdale Rising Stars scholarship fund.

The performance will be held at the Riverdale YM-YWHA, located at 5625 Arlington Avenue (just off of Riverdale Avenue and West 256th Street), in Riverdale, Bronx, NY. Tickets are $25. Over 60 alums of the Riverdale Rising Stars will return home to the Riverdale YM-YWHA for this special event. Audiences will be treated to performances from selections from the 40 musicals produced by the group, featuring young actors, now ages 18 to 31, recreating the roles they played years ago with the Riverdale Rising Stars.

A number of Riverdale Rising Stars alums have gone on to perform on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in national tours, and at major regional theatres in the Unites States. However, the Rising Stars are not just a performing arts training ground: of greatest importance is the way that the organization builds self-esteem, teaches enormous respect for others, helps young people develop camaraderie, and creates lifelong friendships.
